With reports, you can bring together the key metrics from SISTRIX in a single document and have it sent automatically to clients, management or other stakeholders, with no manual effort each time. We’ll show you how to create and design a report and set up automated delivery.
What are reports?
Reports let you compile the SISTRIX metrics relevant to your client reporting and have them sent automatically to stakeholders such as clients, management or other teams. You pick the data boxes that matter for the question at hand, add your own analysis and recommendations in text and image elements if needed, and export the report as a PDF or PowerPoint file. You can also have it sent automatically at set intervals or share it via a public link, without the recipient having to log in to SISTRIX.

You’re flexible in terms of both content and design: you put each report together from the data boxes relevant to you and adapt the design to your corporate identity or your clients’, from your own colours to white labelling without SISTRIX branding. The exact range of features may depend on your SISTRIX package. If you have any questions, our support team will be happy to help.
In September 2026, we gave reports a complete overhaul. Over the last few years, SISTRIX has evolved from a pure Google tool into a platform for visibility across AI search, SEO, content and Amazon, and reporting now reflects this too: a report can map a brand’s visibility across channels, not just in Google Search but also on Amazon and in AI systems. This means you can now set up complete reporting across multiple channels.
Reports or dashboards? You use dashboards for your own ongoing monitoring directly in SISTRIX. Reports are the format for external communication: as a document or sent automatically by email to anyone who needs regular updates without working in SISTRIX themselves.

Finding reports: Reports are located in the ‘Workspace’ menu section, alongside Projects, Dashboards, Lists and API. From there, you go straight to the report overview page, which lists all the reports and templates you’ve already created. If you use reports a lot, you can also mark the menu item as a favourite (star icon) so it appears directly in the navigation bar.
Creating a report
To add a data box from SISTRIX to a report, first go to the analysis relevant to your report, such as a domain’s visibility history or a keyword analysis. Click the cog icon in the top right-hand corner of the box and select ‘Add to report’.

You then choose whether to add the box to an existing report or create a new one. Repeat this for every box relevant to your analysis: almost every data box in SISTRIX can be added to a report this way.
Basic settings
Use the ‘Report settings’ button at the top of the report editor to define the basic settings for your report:
- Report name: the internal title under which you’ll find the report in the overview.
- File name: the name under which the report is saved or sent as a PDF or PowerPoint file.
- Page format: A4 or A3.
- Orientation: landscape or portrait.
- Language: the account language automatically, or German, English, French, Italian or Spanish for the labels in the data boxes.
- Report style: a design template provided by SISTRIX or one of your own.

Designing a report
Use the left-hand panel in the report editor to add further design elements to your report:
- Title page: a separate page showing the name of the report.
- Page title: a heading that automatically appears in the table of contents.
- Text block: a free text area you can format as you like, for example alignment, bold text and font size. You can expand the available formatting options below the text input field.
- Table of contents: generated automatically from the page titles and data boxes.
- Imprint: placed at the end of the report.
- Page break: a manual break wherever you need it.
- Image: upload your own image.
You can arrange the data boxes and design elements in any order using drag and drop. When you hover over a data box, a pencil and a bin icon appear in the top right-hand corner. The pencil opens the box’s individual settings: for some boxes, you can adjust the width there to display two boxes side by side (others don’t support this and always span the full page width), and for visibility charts, you can choose whether to show event pins. The bin removes the element from the report.
Setting up automated delivery
You set the delivery frequency in the basic settings (see ‘Basic settings’): daily, weekly or monthly. For weekly delivery, you can also choose the specific day of the week.
If you don’t need automated delivery for a while, for example during a project break or when a report isn’t currently relevant, you can temporarily disable it with the ‘Paused’ option, without having to delete the report and its configuration. As soon as you reactivate it, the previously set frequency applies again.
Use the ‘Recipients’ button at the top of the report editor to specify who receives the report. Clicking it opens a settings window where you can manage the recipient list for regular automated delivery and also send the report to these recipients once, straight away. This is independent of the next scheduled date, so you can respond quickly to a current client request, for example.
Managing access & sharing
Access: Use the ‘Access’ button to specify which profiles in your account can access the report: either all profiles in the account or selected ones. You can choose between view and edit rights: viewers can see the report, editors can also make changes to it.
Share: Use the ‘Share’ button at the top of the report editor to generate a link to your report as a web page. You can pass this link on to anyone, without them having to log in to SISTRIX. The link shows the report as it was when you generated it. Any changes you make afterwards won’t automatically appear in the existing link, so you’ll need to generate a new one. Every link you generate is also saved in the report archive.

Preview, export & archive
Archive: The report archive stores all automatically generated reports as PDF files, along with every link created via ‘Share’. You can download them at any time to see how things have developed over time. Reports you download manually via ‘Export’ are not saved to the archive automatically.
Preview: Click ‘Preview’ to open the report as a PDF in a new tab for a quick overview.
Export: Click ‘Export’ to download the report as a PDF or PowerPoint file.

Report templates
Once you’ve put together a report with the data boxes you want for a domain, you can also use it as a template for other domains or URLs. To do this, change the type to ‘Report template’ in the report settings, and the exact composition of the report is saved as a template.
Alongside your own templates, the report templates also include the ‘SISTRIX Template: SEO’ provided by SISTRIX, so you can get started straight away without building a report from scratch.
You’ll find report templates on the report overview page. Click a template to view it first and adjust it if needed. Then use the green ‘Create from template’ button to create the new report: enter a name and the domain or URL the report is for, then confirm with ‘Create’.
The number of custom report templates you can create depends on your SISTRIX package. If you have any questions, our support team will be happy to help.
Design templates
Design templates for the look of your reports are managed separately. You’ll find them on the report overview page under ‘View all reports & templates’ → ‘Design templates’. There, you can edit existing templates, for example to add your own logo, set colours and create a white-label report without SISTRIX branding.
How far you can customise design templates depends on your SISTRIX package. If you have any questions, our support team will be happy to help.
